For a low-transfer trip from Taipei to Leofoo Village, check Yatung bus 5350 first. If you are staying near Taipei Main Station or Ximen and want a planned return with a seat, compare a transport-and-admission package. TRA to Zhongli plus bus 5653 is another option. HSR to Hsinchu plus Tourist Bus 2 works only when that holiday service operates.

The park is in Guanxi, Hsinchu County. It is not beside central Hsinchu or Hsinchu HSR. This guide focuses on reaching the entrance and getting home rather than choosing rides inside the park.

    Compare the whole journey

Option Time and cost considerations Best fit
5350 from Songshan Airport, Zhongxiao Dunhua, Jing’an and other stops Allow roughly 1 hour 40 minutes from Songshan in ordinary traffic; shorter from later stops A direct scheduled bus without a rail-to-bus change
Booked shared transfer from Taipei Main Station or Ximen Compare the total for admission, return transport and its fixed return time Visitors happy to keep a scheduled meeting time
TRA to Zhongli, then 5653 Rail fare plus bus; the park quotes about 50 minutes for the bus portion alone Convenient TRA access or a start near Zhongli
HSR to Hsinchu, then Tourist Bus 2 HSR plus NT$45 adult or NT$24 concession bus fare; holiday operation only A weekend or national-holiday trip with a suitable connection

Add the journey to your boarding point, waiting and the return. For a standalone 5350 fare, use the actual endpoints in Yatung’s official fare link. An admission-and-transport package price is not the regular one-way bus fare. All road options can be delayed by holiday traffic.

Bus 5350: use the current operator and stop

Yatung operates the current route from Songshan Airport to Leofoo Village. Useful Taipei-area stops include Taipei Arena, MRT Zhongxiao Dunhua, Chenggong Public Housing, Gongguan, Xiulang Elementary School, Zhiguang Commercial High School, MRT Jing’an and Zhonghe Civil Sports Center. A hotel along this corridor may save you a trip back to Taipei Main Station.

Songshan Airport is the starting point, so its timetable is easiest to interpret. Zhongxiao Dunhua and Jing’an provide convenient MRT connections, but their boarding times are later. Check live information and the correct side of the road. “Airport” here means Songshan, not Taoyuan Airport.

Yatung adjusted stops and schedules on September 30, 2026 for the opening of Longtan Bus Transfer Station. Use the current 5350 page rather than an old Taiwan United Bus screenshot. Highway boarding and alighting restrictions apply; the route is not a general city bus for every short journey between its stops.

Read the timetable and choose a return before entering

The official weekday morning chart includes Songshan departures at 08:00, 08:30, 09:00, 09:30, 10:00 and 11:00. Weekend mornings include 08:00, 08:30, 09:00, 10:00 and 11:00. These are origin departures, not the times at Zhongxiao Dunhua or Jing’an; holiday notices can change the pattern.

The current afternoon return list from Leofoo Village is 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:00, 16:30, 17:00 and 18:00. Recheck your date through the official route inquiry. A late park event can finish after the last regular bus. An evening admission ticket does not create an extra ride back to Taipei.

Locate the return stop before entering. Allow time to walk from the final attraction, use the bathroom and queue. If you have a train or flight afterward, leave earlier or arrange a suitable transfer instead of making the last bus your only plan.

The operator’s 5350 package is not a numbered seat

Yatung links admission-plus-return-bus packages with separate Taiwanese and foreign-visitor eligibility. The Taiwanese option requires passengers to be at least six and booking before 11:00 on the previous day. An English interface does not by itself make a ticket suitable for a foreign visitor.

This package arranges a service but does not assign a seat number. Passengers still queue, and a full bus means waiting for the next service. Its instructions require showing the QR voucher when boarding, then exchanging it at the Longtan stop for physical park and return-bus tickets. Keep the return ticket safe. Refund restrictions change once any part of the package has been used.

Start with the operator’s package announcement and read the selected option. Priority boarding arrangements on 5350 should not be confused with the seat guarantee of a different shared-transfer product.

Taipei Main Station and Ximen shared transfers

Klook’s Leofoo page includes a foreign-visitor admission-and-shared-return-transfer option from Taipei Main Station or Ximen. That specific option excludes Taiwanese passport holders. Other tickets on the same page have different eligibility, so select the package as carefully as the date.

The transport option includes a seat, with no assigned seat number and a vehicle chosen for the group size. It currently lists a 16:45 return, conditional cancellation before 18:00 two days ahead, and a two-person minimum. Look out for the previous evening’s vehicle notice. Free park entry for an infant does not mean a free shuttle ride; child safety seats are excluded from this option.

Pure admission, foreign-passport offers, afternoon tickets and transport packages can share a product page. Check that the inclusions actually say return transport, with the correct meeting point, return time and eligibility. A park admission ticket alone will not get you onto the vehicle.

Rail alternatives via Zhongli or Hsinchu HSR

For TRA, leave Zhongli through the front side and find Yatung’s Zhongli North Station opposite for bus 5653. The park quotes around 50 minutes for that bus, not the entire trip from Taipei. Add the train and wait, and consult the current schedule because 5653 was also included in the late-September route adjustments.

At Hsinchu HSR, leave through Exit 4 for bus platform 5 at the transfer station. The park lists Tourist Bus 2 on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays, with outbound departures at 08:00, 08:30, 08:45, 10:00, 10:20 and 10:30. Returns are 15:30, 16:00, 16:30, 17:00, 17:30 and 18:00. The listed bus fare is NT$45 adult or NT$24 concession, paid by coins or EasyCard. On an ordinary weekday, arrange another connection such as a taxi.

Hsinchu HSR to central Hsinchu is a different journey. There is no need to detour through the city and TRA station simply because the park is in Hsinchu County.

    Seasonal shuttles, strollers and bags

For September 25–November 22, 2026, the park separately lists a reserved shuttle linking Courtyard by Marriott Taipei, Leofoo Village and Leofoo Resort Guanshi. Book before 20:00 the previous day; a departure can be canceled if nobody books in either direction. This dated service is not a year-round promise or the same product as a Taipei Main Station package.

That seasonal shuttle explicitly does not accommodate electric wheelchairs. Confirm the actual vehicle for wheelchairs, large strollers and luggage before booking any option. Leaving large cases at your Taipei accommodation makes the return much easier after a full park day.

    Common questions

Is 5350 still Taiwan United Bus?

Use Yatung’s current information. Older operator names can lead to outdated schedules.

Does Tourist Bus 2 run from Hsinchu HSR every day?

No. The service described here is for Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays.

Will a transport package let me stay for an evening show?

Only if its return time fits. The 16:45 shared transfer and regular 5350 timetable are separate arrangements.

Does a child with free admission travel free?

Not necessarily. Park entry and transport have separate rules. Include all children in the booking and confirm their seats and fare.
